in this episode of arpeecast we talk about the eighth wonder of the world which is why on earth do people leave a site or a plot after only a day of joining a site? and why do people lose interest in sites so quickly?
we also spend a lot of time introducing ourselves, where we are from, how we got into roleplaying, that kind of thing.
and aswell as plenty of banter between us all!

this isn't the same paige as you guys were talking about, but this is the funniest podcast. i pretty much agree with EVERYTHING that was said, too. so yeah, loves your podcast. make another one soon!

(continuing) god, it's gonna be crazy without you. it's REALLY tempting me, right now, coming online to roleplay! gah.
but you know what? this made me think. i'm gonna find myself time to come on, roleplay, help you, do what i want, and still study, go to tutor and hang out with my friends. that is, until my dad decides to take the internet away from me. it's gonna be hard, but, for you i will!

you've guys have been talking about this for weeks and i'm really happy that you put it together finally. you made some really great points at why you think people leave sites so quickly and what is so annoying about that when it happens. great job!
i'd love to hear a cast about what you think makes for a good application or post, you know what makes you want to thread with another particular person.

the things you were saying are very true, i totally agree. lol. it really irks me when people don't reply to your plot when you posted to theirs and took ages to write to it. xD that annoyed me this time, it happened a lot lol. i found it hard to post one of my characters too, because nobody was replying to the plot and whatever. poor milo! anyway, cool 'cast. - lilly.
Dude! You guys are amazing! Like seriously. I so want to join a site that has all of yall on it because yeah, yall are that cool. Plus yall had loads of good points. Anyways, I could hardly tell you guys apart... except for Lillie and her British accent.
And like I said on the cbox at Caution! I would love to hear why you guys think threads are called threads. Me and my buddies went all out with that topic and even figured out what everything else was if the threads were threads. The board was like a sweater. xD Anyways, if one of yall wants it, I can send the conversation in a PM on Caution. Like to see what I mean about the thread topic. And now I'm rambling. xD

I was happy to find an RP-related podcast. I haven't listened to the other episodes yet, but by what I've heard you guys are pretty cool.
You have some serious technical problems, though. At least two of you are echoing pretty badly; not sure if it's a mike problem or your location. I don't suppose you have a sound technician handy? [/sarcasm]
As to people losing interest- in my experience (and I'm pretty guilty in this field) I'll join a site, make my character, and be ready to go, but everyone else moves pretty slowly. Then again, my interest in any item will wax and wane like a caffeine high, so if there's even a couple days' delay in response I turn off. Also, though I join forums with mostly literate members, the most illiterate roleplayers will, invariably, join my topic. That sends me packing pretty quickly.
